Staff Appointments

The appointment of personnel to key positions can often be of strategic importance to a school. A comprehensive and time consuming process is required if the best applicants are to be sought and the appropriate candidates appointed. The efficient use of school time and resources may well require the involvement of an external education professional.

Package 1  

This presents a process through which appointments are made and provides the resources to support this appointment. These resources include job descriptions, application forms, referee reports, interview questions and other documentation.

Package 2  

This is an advisory role to the board during the appointment of a new principal / senior manager. The consultant provides resources to the school and contributes to the development of a process. The consultant supports the board to seek referee statements and to short list and interview candidates.

Package 3  

The consultant determines with the board the criteria and process for appointment. The board is involved in candidate interviews and ultimately decides on the appointee. All other aspects of the process, including recruiting applicants, are conducted by the consultant with regular reports to the board chair.
