Self Reviewing
Effective schools have strong self reviewing capabilities. This programme assists principals and boards in understanding, designing and implementing robust systems of self review based on criteria to assist schools to improve. It is closely aligned to ERO’s evaluation requirements for 4-5 year differentiated reviews.
Package 1
This consists of a presentation to the principal or board of a model for self review that encompasses all aspects of school operations.
Package 2
This presents the principal or board with a model of self review. Support is given to management to develop this in the context of their school, including the development of an ongoing review schedule. Monitoring of the review is provided during the first year.
Package 3
This is the consultant’s actual formal review of school teaching and management systems, programmes and processes. These reviews may be as broad and as detailed as the school deems appropriate. The board is provided with a written report or series of reports that detail the situation and give direction for new development.
