Curriculum Development

Schools that have an integrated and school-based approach to developing curricula derived from The New Zealand Curriculum meet their statutory requirements. School management needs to be responsive to emerging curriculum priorities (national and local) and have a framework that has the flexibility to readily incorporate changes.

Package 1

This provides a framework for the documentation of curriculum subject areas (policy and procedures), including examples of curriculum programmes / plans / schemes. These are presented as models to the senior management team / staff.

Package 2

This provides an understanding of curriculum development for senior management / staff and supports them in developing a school-specific model based on the requirements of The New Zealand Curriculum. It enables the consultant to oversee the school’s curriculum document development and implementation.
